Advanced: Create alert
You can easily create email alert task in a Workflow. In this tutorial we will create an email alert after an opportunity is created.
You will edit the opportunity Workflow created in the create opportunity from a contact form tutorial, and edited in the tutorial create a condition for a set of tasks.
In Workflow detail, right-click on "Amount Condition" and the context menu will be displayed. Now click on "Add task."

An empty task is created. Now type the name of the task and press the "Enter" key.

Double-click on the task name and a popup window will be opened with all the types of tasks you can create.
Select the task type "Send Alert" and click the "Save" button.

When the form is submitted, if the condition is verified, the email alert will be sent after the opportunity is created.
